The weather finally broke and the sun came out last weekend, and on a whim I drove over the Clee Hill in Shropshire. Having wandered around the top of the hill with Monty in near freezing conditions looking for inspiration I noticed that there was the chance of a decent sunset.
One of the problems with trying to catch a sunset when high up is finding some foreground. Near the top of Clee Hill are a lot of ruined quarry buildings and patches of waste ground. One of these patches of waste ground is used as a rough car park and it has become very uneven. The big dips have filled up with water to form large puddles - and became the foreground for this image reflecting one of the best sunsets I've seen in ages.
Fine work !
